Facility looks great, check-in was fine. Hit the pool and there were no fresh pool towels, but a few wet ones lying around. Husband went to front desk and waited since person was polite and apologized for the wait and stated they were the only one up front. Room was okay, but small bench with cushion was very stained. Husband sat on bed and the whole thing moved. Bed was comfortable, but kept getting woke up by squeaking and rattling heater unit every time it would kick in. Reported it in the morning and they had maintenance look at it within 15 minutes, fixed the rattle, but was still loud grinding noise. After a very nice breakfast as we were on our way out for the day, I told the maintenance guy it was slightly better and I might be able to sleep through, Maintenance said he would talk to front desk about changing room. Upon returning later in the evening, the rattle was back in addition to the grinding noise. The front desk person stated she was not aware of anything about switching rooms and couldn't as they were sold out. She offered to call maintenance again. I asked if we could have refund since maintenance already told us there was nothing they could do. She stated she couldn't do that. I asked if we could switch to another Best Western to which she said they were the only one as far as Muncie and they are separate and can't. I told her call maintenance. After waiting half an hour, we decided to check out while we could still get a room at another hotel. I commented that that maybe they could rent it out. She stated housekeeping was gone and she was the only there. All the staff we encountered were polite and pretty professional, but it seemed they were a bit understaffed for being sold out. less
