I was given early check-in and I was grateful. Victoria, the front desk attendant, has very good customer service and made me feel very comfortable. I went to my room and discovered the room to be quite humid. Unfortunately, it is in a coastal town, so you can't fight the humidity in the summer. That same humidity transfers to the room, so you must leave the air conditioner on unless you want to be dewey all the time. That is not something the hotel can fix unless they get a dehumidifier in every room.
The bathroom didn't have many convenience items in it, but that was okay. It did have a pump dispenser for shampoo and shower gel which was a cute touch. I had two firm pillows and two soft pillows and I didn't even have to request them. That was nice. However, my refrigerator didn't work and I found out once I tried to refrigerate some fruit I had. I went down to the front desk and was told that a defrosting procedure had occurred and unfortunately, the maintenance person forgot to cut the refrigerator back on. It wasn't a big deal, but I had to put my fruit in the downstairs refrigerator to keep it cool until my room refrigerator got cold.
Breakfast was a typical free breakfast--waffles, grits, eggs, sausage, breakfast breads, juice, coffee, etc. Ms. Cynthia, the breakfast attendant, made it a lovely experience. She is like your favorite grandmother or aunt. She kept checking on everyone and asking them if they needed anything. Very sweet woman.
Overall, I would stay again, but probably in the fall or winter in order to dodge the humidity. less
