I stayed here on a 3 night business trip in June 2015, the first impression was good, nice looking building and health spa etc. The reception was welcoming but when nearing my room I felt I was stepping back to the 70's.
Inside my room I was a little shocked, there was a terrible smell like carpet cleaning agent that left me with sore eyes, sore throat and almost stoned. The room was grotty, the window didn't fit the frame and a secondary glazed window had been put inside of that again, I soon found out it was to try and drown out the noise of the goods trains passing within 100m of the room.
The carpet was worn and pealing, the paint just the same, inside the bathroom was even more grotty with the door separating from water damage and the grout of a lot of the tiles cracked and blackening. I had to run the bath for 10 min before getting hot water each time before getting into the shower and the shower head was also broken and wouldn't stay in position.
The internet was free but there was no internet, I tried for hours to get onto the net using both my laptop and phone, phoned reception several times and was told they would re-boot the router, it wasn't the router... it's just the weakest of signals. Outside in the hallway or in the bar was the only area I found wifi and each night these areas were full of people surfing the web so I guess everyone was having the same issue.
I asked 3 times on my first day to move room due to the lack of wifi but nobody ever 'got back to me'. Cooked breakfast was over priced, the continental buffet was very poor and the toaster... well lets just say if your planning on staying there.... ask them to put the toast in now ready for your arrival.
I've stayed at better hotels in the middle of the Peruvian desert for 1/10 the cost. My advice would be take a trip down the road to the Premier Inn. less
