Please disregard the one poor review from someone saying there is no place to air your dogs! Either they have very limited experience in traveling with dogs, or they did not check it out. I have traveled a lot with my dogs over the years, and know what to expect from a hotel that allows dogs!
The room was nice and spacious for my husband and I with our 2 Labs! The Inn may be old, but it is nice and clean! There us a refrigerator and microwave for your use, as well as a coffee pot!
We were at the end of the hotel, parking in a handicap stall in front of the room (I am handicapped but do not use a wheelchair). I would presume that this room is also available for handicapped as well. The sink and bathroom area is tiled and there is plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair to use the sink and facilities.
Because of this, it is also great for dogs, so you can keep a water bowl in the bathroom and prevent water (or dog food) spillage to an area that can easily be mopped up!
As we were at the end, it was nice that there was a corner area, partially enclosed with fencing, that contained a few trees, but the area is covered by rocks. It is a nice place to air your dogs, especially late at night!!
For better airing facilities, if you go across the large parking lot, towards the freeway, there is a good sized strip of land (brush, dirt and a boulder or two) that lies between the parking lot, and a very quiet, seldom used side street.
This area is ideal for airing your dogs!! Keep in mind they must remain on leash to remain safe!! But it is a perfectly more than adequate place for airing your dogs! Bring a flashlight if you are there in the dark though!!
In addition, if you walk behind the Inn, there is a large empty piece if property that is also perfect for airing dogs. Just watch your step when walking with your dogs!!
The restaurant next door (The Crazy Cow) provides a great free breakfast for visitors from the hotel. There is understandably limited menu available for free (remember to bring your voucher!). The food was quick and very good! The portions were more than adequate as well.
They do have a regular menu as well, and although we did not use the restaurant for lunch or dinner, judging from the breakfast, I would expect the food to be good as well! less
