I'm genuinely surprised by all these positive reviews and I'm wondering why our experience was so different. We were under the impression that the rooms were recently renovated, but it sure didn't look that way. The staff was really lovely, but the room was stinky, poorly lit, and cold. The toilet clogged, the tub didn't drain, the tv was tiny and old, the furniture was broken. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe, I assume due to the mold and the window unit heater that cranked loudly all night. As we were leaving the next morning we realized that one of our thin front windows was actually open the whole freezing night (it had been hidden by the curtain)- the catch didn't work, so we couldn't have closed it if we wanted to.
Tidy grounds, friendly employees, but otherwise - just awful. I'm not that picky when it comes to inexpensive road trip motels, but our room was such a bummer! less

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. Your stay was certainly atypical but don't worry about being too harsh a critic. Our staff generally do a great job of maintaining the property but there are times when we'll miss things. Although we hope and expect to catch problems before a guest stays with us, when we miss something we do value the information guest reviews give us. I"m guessing the stuffiness was due to the heater running, just turning it off or lowering the fan speed could have helped. Concering the other things you mentioned, I'll go through with my maintenance man and identify the cause and make corrections.
