I called this hotel to make a booking in one of their two restaurants today at 5.30pm. The automated service did not ask me if I wanted a restaurant reservation, I thought I would then go through to reception, after the phone rang out, I was redirected back to the automated service where I thought I would try again, to no avail, I then directed my call to group booking or duty managers office. The phone was answered by a chap stating this was the manger office, I explained what had happened, his reply, "That is because there is no one there to take your call" ok, can you help me please? The reply "what is it you are after, as I am in the middle of something at the moment" ! No thank you was my reply... No further comment required... less

Thank you for your comments. I have spoken to my colleague that was on duty last night. He sends his apologies! Unfortunately he was called to cover the front desk and was inundated with guests checking in . He nipped through to the back office to pick up your call. Obviously he did not deal with your call at all well. He sincerely regrets the abrupt way that your call was dealt with, particularly since you were trying to point out an issue with our call server system for our benefit. It looks like a case of creaking under pressure. Obviously this should not happen. We have asked out telecomunications company to check for issues with the call server. We will endevour to do better in the future. Thank you for highlighting our shortcomings on this occassion.
