My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Rice Lake, Wis. for a short overnight getaway. We arrived at about 4:45 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon. The lady working the front desk was very friendly and professional. The motel itself is conveniently located to most of the restaurants and shopping in town.
The room, and motel overall, has been thoroughly updated and is very clean. The bathroom was surprisingly large, and with a nod to today's technology, had easy-to-connect and strong wi-fi and a handy cube on the table between the two beds with an alarm clock, outlets, and USB ports for charging devices! I liked that the HVAC unit is controled by a wall-mounted digital thermostat; these seem to keep a steadier temperature than when the temperature is controlled at the unit, and the room was kept at an even temperature the entire time.
Unfortunately, the bed seemed on the hard side for both me and my wife, and the sleep quality suffered a bit. That would be the main thing I would improve about the stay, but the motel's advantages outweighed this and we'd stay again. less
