I would stay away! NO A.C, Church Bells every 15 minutes, Dumb receptionist.
It's rare that I write a review. However, I definitely wanted to write one for this particular place just because of the way things turned out to be.
Stayed at this place for 5 days with my family from May 24-29th as it was right in the middle of Zurich and seemed like a decent place to stay. Everything went great on all the days and I was pretty happy with the trip and was excited to visit my next destination-Paris. At the time of checkout- I was charged about 350 CHF and I trusted the receptionist at that time- Stefanie, and paid the entire amount without questioning her plus, we were in a hurry to catch our next flight. It's Best western, an international chain of hotel, what could go wrong, right??
I was charged 288 CHF's more as I got charged for 16 breakfast's. We were 4 people, we only ate 6 times. I am glad my wife pointed this out to me, so I contacted them- and spoke with Wolfgang( the receptionist) at that time and mentioned the same. He said he would talk to his restaurant staff and get back. Fair enough, as I thought it would be OK and I would get the refund back.
Called back after two hours- spoke to another lady( she did not say her name but was on shift at 16.33pm on May 29th) rude and obnoxious as hell! Said- I was lying, was rude enough, asked me to come to a '"middle ground", on the number of breakfast's, asked me never to come back to the hotel, said will refund all the breakfast's as "she did not have the energy" to talk to me anymore, said- "it's not my problem" , when I said the reason I checked out without cross checking the invoice was to catch a flight, etc etc., the list goes on.
This same person- agreed that there was a mistake on May 25th , when we were charged, even when my wife and I had not even checked into the hotel( parent's arrived earlier that my wife and I), but refused to even consider that she might be wrong about the other days. I was confident enough that we had only 6 breakfasts, and I asked her to check the hotel camera's OR even put me on phone with the cook, to which she refused.
Either ways, my trip was great, this dumb idiot of a person ( if you are reading this) hardly changed my thought's about Zurich and I will definitely accept your invitation to NOT visit your hotel again as YOU are not worth my time or money. I have travelled to several countries but this level of incompetence ,in terms of customer service, has definitely shocked me to actually come out here and write this review about YOU and this hotel.
As I can see that the owner is responding to other guests, my only suggestion to you- give your staff training on customer service. There were a couple of them who were extremely good- Divya and another guy who helped us out with the parking were good! The lady I spoke with on May 29 at 16.33pm- needs to go back to training school!
P.S- I got my refund back for the 10 extra breakfast's that were charged to my account- but I won't be changing my rating of this place just because of this obnoxious person I spoke with on the phone. less
