I booked a four night stay, along with my friends and family (10 in all) way back in the winter for the weekend of May 8th -12th to celebrate my 70th birthday. Overall the hotel was very good, food, staff, facilities, cleanliness and location were all excellent, however there were a few irritating problems which did detract from the overall experience, and all of our 5 rooms had some problem or other. The most common fault (all rooms) was with the showers, you took your life in your hands as the pressure and temperature of the showers was not constant, one minute it’s cold then straight up to very hot. My toilet was constantly running meaning the bathroom door needed to be kept closed at night otherwise the sound keeps you awake. Our main bedroom door constantly rattled (it was windy outside) so we had to stuff books etc. under the bottom of the door to stop the rattle. The pillows were to hard for us, some might like that, but we didn’t. Our other friends reported similar problems along with light bulbs not working and some of the rooms were not accessible via the lift (only one in the hotel) so luggage had to be carried upstairs.
All of these small problems have been reported to the Rembrandt, would I recommend this hotel - of course I would, all it need is a bit of TLC in the bedrooms to make it a perfect Best Western less
