I received an email informing me I earned a free stay. When attempting to book the room, I encountered endless problems. Called the hotel and was informed they had plenty of rooms available, until I said I had points for a free room. Suddenly no rooms were available. Asked if I could speak to a manager. Was told she was out till 1/2. Asked for the district manager and or the owner. After a brief hold, a manager was on the phone. I told her I was a LOCAL wanting a night away. She then told me to book with 1800 western. Called the 1800 number. Same run around. Asked for the agent to call the local motel and work it out. Thought I had satisfaction. Until I showed up. Not only was I told it was booked under a cash payment, I was refused service, as they do not book to locals. The man behind the counter ( name unknown. Long unprofessional hair, and a horrible attitude) asked if I had ID that had a address was not local. If I had an ID that was not valid and or expired he would of given me the room?
I understand each location has rules. I should of been notified on the FIRST call. I made 7 calls attempting to book this room. Only to show up to deal with a yahoo behind the counter. Who lacks any sort of professionalism, let alone customer service. His attitude was dismissive, and rude. I would never ever recommend this motel. I strongly suggest the silly and unneeded rules are explained every single call. I suggest some major hospitality training happens immediately.
