OK stay... If you like paper-thin walls, noise and a flooded bathroom!

In all fairness, the trip didn't start out badly. However, like many Best Westerns, the soundproofing (ha!) between rooms was little more than a bad joke. And, of course, we were 'blessed' with noisy neighbors. Thankfully, they seemed to realize late night was for sleeping.
This particular Best Western, however, was far from 'Best' in terms of their breakfast selections: Pseudo-omelettes, done with (I'm guessing) frozen/reconstituted eggs and some sort of green and red flecks (peppers?). Add to this an ancient waffle machine, which had a nasty habit of self-gluing the waffles to itself; Alleged 'muffins' which were so tiny I think Tinkerbell would have had problems with them; And you end up with a situation where they had NOTHING my wife could eat, thanks to her food allergies. We ended up going out more than we should have had to, given what other Best Westerns have provided.
Would it have been so very difficult to have bagels? Or bananas? Or SOME kind of readily-edible fruit?
Perhaps the most interesting part of the stay was where our toilet managed to clog, overflow and flood the bathroom floor and the surrounding carpet -- following a pit stop at zero-dark-two in the morning! Again, in all fairness, the front desk relocated us to a replacement room very quickly, but having to re-pack and move everything in rather cold weather because of a wonky toilet was ... an adventure! :-P
By the time we were ready to check out and travel home, we were both more than ready to be done with the place! We went as far as asking for a one-night credit on our room, due to the flood. The manager didn't want to do that, but they at least added an additional 5,000 points to my rewards account. That, by the way, is the only thing which kept them from getting a 'poor' score.
Be very careful about selecting this location for your travel plans! Yes, it is certainly one of the least expensive hotels in the Bay Area, but I think we also (now) know why. less
