Because my wife was in the Policlinico Umberto II hospital up the road my 8 year-old grandson and I had an extended stay here. For us it was home, not just a place to sleep while on holiday.
We chose this hotel because it was close to the hospital, not because of its facilities. However it has all the one needs to enjoy a stay. It is close to the metro, to trams and easy walking to Termini for trains to other cities. There is a full range of shops just down the road including supermarket and a large covered produce market, and many very reasonably priced eateries too.
The buffet breakfast has a multinational menu - cake and nutella for the Italians, cold meat and cheese for the Dutch and Germans, sausage and scrambled egg with toast and jam for the Brits, and muesli, fresh fruit and youghurt for the health conscious
Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and well serviced, always immaculately cleaned daily. The leaky toilet and sink kept me from giving 5 stars.
But it was the friendly, helpful, courteous and concerned staff that really made our stay here not just a room and a bed; they made us feel at home. Thank you.
I hope we can return again one day. less
