Little piece of heaven

17/07/2018 Denim S,

Me and my partner stayed here from the 3rd July onwards for 6 nights and although I had my reservations at first we were pleasantly surprised. Our room (deluxe) was immaculately cleaned every day. We ... more

Hotter than hell

This hotel is probably fine in winter. At 25 Celsius plus, it's the last place you want to be. The restaurant feels like a sauna even at 8am, with overhead sun pouring through the corrugated plastic... more

Owner Response
Si B, General Manager at Best Western Fowey Valley, responded to this review
I’m appalled that you experienced 25 degrees, in July, during your holiday in Cornwall, it is a rare occurrence for the UK, and was broadly publicised through media channels, but I will do my best to ensure this never happens again, should you wish to return… The safety of all our guests is paramount, so yes, we do have pool procedures, as do most Hotels. My staff, who read our reviews on a weekly basis, are not clueless, we are very proud of our young & local staff; they are the ones that served and cooked you Breakfast, and left your room spotlessly clean… All comments are welcome, constructive or otherwise.
