We had stayed a few days earlier at Best Western in Fallon and had been severely disappointed. So we were expecting the worst when we pulled in at Best Western in Fernley. There was a puddle of water in the driveway so that was a bit concerning. But walking into the lobby, we could already tell this was a much better hotel. For one thing, the lobby did not smell like cigarette smoke. The room was comfortable, the AC was not as loud as a jet engine every time it cycled on, and the best part is that the pool was functioning and the spa was warm. Now, having said that, the pool could use a bit of TLC. It's an enclosed pool, which was nice, but some of the sliding doors were broken and really, how hard would it be to sweep away cobwebs under the plastic lounge chairs? You can tell that the property itself is old but they have made an effort to spruce it up. For the price, we thought we got good value. Breakfast was also better - there was ham and scrambled eggs with peppers and onions, things someone on a grain-free diet could eat. My husband was a bit disappointed that there were no potatoes, though. Overall, though, we were monstrously relieved to have stayed at a better hotel this time around. less

Thank you for choosing the Best Western Fernley Inn. We appreciate your business.
Just so you know the puddle of water was from watering the lawn. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. On the day that we do ham. Its for breakfast burritoes. We have to do two different type of eggs because some people do not like peppers and onions and may have allergies. So we only have three containers, so two eggs and ham. We do not have space for another warmer. I just wanted to let you know why there were no potatoes.
I will also talk to the maintenance man about the slidding doors and the lounge chairs in the pool.
Thank you for your comments. We hope to see you again the next time you pass through the Fernley area.
