This is an older hotel in a town with few choices for a nice place to stay. They have done a good job of keeping up with maintenance and refurbishment.
Our assigned room was in a back corner where the noise was less. There is a 4-lane highway in front so one occasionally hears a loud semi truck. There is a large Union Pacific Railroad switching yard across the street. The noise from occasional through-trains and "train building" was somewhat noticeable, but most activities that we did hear ceased around 9 pm.
There is a Denny's a few doors down that we walked to for a good dinner.
The free breakfast was fine, with a good selection of eggs, bacon, sausage, hot waffles, etc. And, of course, coffee and juices. Breakfast was located in a separate building in what looked like a former meeting room. They definitely need to keep the doors closed to the other rooms in the building. We could see piles of old furniture, cleaning supplies, etc,. which definitely detracted from the decor.
Check-in and check-out was fine. Business in evening and morning was conducted by two different very nice young ladies; professional, courteous, helpful. less
