We found shortcomings at the motel which may have been somewhat unique to us. I say for 2 reasons, first when I pointed out our concerns, the proprietor provided us a discount on our bill, and second, while I was in the breakfast room, 2 different customers came in to check out used adjectives like "excellent" and "outstanding" when asked. Our experience was different. The sink faucet was so loose, it moved decidedly every time you turned on or off the water. Plus, there was no sink stopper...I wear contact lenses so that is a serious deficiency. There was no shampoo provided because there was supposed to be a shampoo dispenser in the shower. It was awol. The desk lamp electrical receptacles were so worn out that they would not maintain constant contact with plugs. There was a power strip behind the TV which allowed us to recharge our electronics, however. The desk chair was threadbare on the arms and considerably soiled....it needs to be thrown out. The toilet was the old fashioned round type which are fine for women and young boys but, totally inadequate for men. The room rate was modest which seemed appropriate considering our experience. less
