Clean, but a bit not customer oriented!

Reservation process, no issue. Check in, no issue. Rooms were clean, no issue. Breakfast fare, no issue. Which is how it should be. However, one of our rooms was not cleaned or serviced when we returned from a funeral that evening. I advised the front staff and was informed the cleaning crew had already left for the day and there was little she could do. She found us some towels and told us she would advise her manager. Front office called later that evening and said we were entitled to a 10% discount, for that room. We usually stay at another brand hotel, but none were available near the area! The competitors policy is apparently different...least wise they take “Lack of full service”..., a bit more serious. Rarely had issues with them, but when we did they delivered on their guarantee. I don’t recall they had to ask any staff nor did it warrant getting front office approval before anything else was done. Oversights or issues were fixed in the spot. Will now go out of the way to find them, and drive a bit more if necessary.

I am sorry you did not get the housekeeping you wanted. I know my housekeeper came to your room 3 times, and you sent her away 3 times. I do not have housekeeping in the evening hours, some hotels do. I feel bad you do not want to return to our hotel due to the issue you had. We pride ourselves on a clean hotel and good customer service and do take it very seriously. Again I am sorry your experience with us was not a good one.
