A car hit us and totalled our car in Wellfleet, MA which meant we could not make our reservation at Dartmouth since we were dealing with insurance and trying to get things, including a rental car, figured out. It was a traumatic day to say the least. We ended up staying at a hotel in Wellfleet while we tried to get things in order and deal with our injuries. I called Expedia and they were empathetic with the situation....they called Best Western for us to get a refund, but Best Western refused to offer even a partial refund. I am so disappointed in their customer service and lack of empathy and understanding. We will not give Best Western any future business. I have worked in customer service for decades and there are always exceptions to policies....but obviously not for Best Western...even if injuries are involved. My recommendation is to stay in a hotel chain that actually cares about their customers, unlike Best Western, who cares only about making money at any cost. So sad... less

I apologize for you accident and you were able to change the dates on the reservation so that you wouldn't loose out. It was prepaid through expedia.
