We chose this hotel as it seemed to be within easy walking distance of Buckingham Palace, before we knew about the tube strikes!
On check in the staff were pleasant and helpful, with complimentary newspapers on the counter. Free London maps etc also provided to help us get around without tubes.
Our room was compact, but had all the usual facilities, e.g. Large TV, coffee/ tea making facilities, en suite shower room. The shower enclosure was quite generous, but the sink was in one corner, and there was no "work surface" to place items near the sink.
The room did seem to have been recently decorated, re carpeted etc. the bed was comfortable.
We stayed during a hot spell, and the small room became quite warm with no air con. We opened the window on to Belgrave Road, which did have the odd loud motorbike, and "shouty people" late at night, but it was no big deal.
reception managed to book us a taxi at short notice, to take us to Theatreland in the evening, as there was a tube strike.
Breakfast was self service continental style, with a selection of cereals, scrambled egg, beans, yogurts, pastries, toast, rolls, ham, cheese etc.
again the staff were pleasant and helpful, serving coffee and toast. Plenty of empty tables during our stay.
The hotel is well placed for walking to Pimlico underground or Victoria Station.
There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops ( Tesco, Sainsburys and Waitrose) within easy walking distance.
There was free wifi, but in our room it was a bit patchy. less
