I do understand that the Best Western Concord Inn & Suites in Concord, New Hampshire, is not a premium hotel but I still expect a minimal level of cleanliness and quiet and I'm afraid that I didn't get either.
The most notable aspect of the room was the noise, right from the beginning. The walls and ceiling are thin and I heard the cars in the parking lot, the (very) noisy plumbing sounds from my neighbors on either side, the talking in the hallway, the pounding of feet from the room above mine, and so on. Even with the white noise from the room's climate control unit, this was still loud and intrusive.
In addition to this, there was a rip in the bedspread, a black mark on the wall, discolorations in the carpet, and mildew on the grout in the bathroom. Moreover, when I got up in bare feet to go shower in the morning, the water in the tub briefly turned brown from the dirt that my feet had picked up from the carpet. I verified this was from the carpet by first cleaning my feet, then walking to and from the window, and getting back in the tub. The water turned brown again.
The breakfast buffet wasn't bad: fresh u-cook waffles, some indifferent pastries, bread, bagels, and English muffins for toasting, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes (or biscuits and gravy instead of the latter two items), yogurt with toppings to mix in, three varieties of cold cereal, milk, coffee, and orange and apple juice, etc.. I was up early each morning, so all of the items were fairly fresh. No complaints.
Service at the front desk was good when I needed it. The indoor pool and hot tub looked fine, although I didn't use them.
Given the noise and the general condition of the room, I have to rate the overall experience as poor. It's one of the less expensive options in Concord but the old adage about getting what you pay for applies. less
