A warm, friendly welcome on arrival for a 4 night stay in Bendigo to attend Scots Day Out and do a little sightseeing.
A map and directions were supplied along with fresh milk and a bottle of water.
Our room was spacious, with modern decor & an updated marble tiled bathroom which was spotlessly clean & Soft white towels & quality toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable with ample soft pillows. A flat screen TV with Foxtel channels, couch and small table & chairs with QUIET airconditioning and FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET made our stay very comfortable during a very hot week.
This is a very quiet motor inn and we slept soundly each night.
Every staff member we met was friendly, professional and courteous.
Location is perfect for seeing the sights of Bendigo. The Central Deborah Gold mine is half a block away and Bendigo CBD is 2 blocks - about a 10 minute stroll. The Bendigo Arts Centre, The Chinese Museum, Bendigo cathedral (next door) Chinese Joss House, Vintage tram ride, Central Deborah Gold Mine are all close by. A stroll through the beautiful Rosalind Gardens is a must and a 15 minute drive to White Hills to visit the Botanical Gardens and surrounding early gold mining areas.
Lots of restaurant and fast food choices within walking distance. We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Bouchon, a French inspired award winning restaurant and weren't disappointed. There is an extensive wine and boutique beer list and my dietary needs were not only taken into consideration but the chef went out of his way to prepare a beautiful, appetising meal for me.
The people of Bendigo are undoubtedly the friendliest, most helpful people we've encountered for a long time .
We would highly recommend Best Western Cathedral Motor Inn for your next stay in this region. less
