I arrived at the hotel with the whole front of the hotel covered in scaffolding. Obviously this was a concern so when I paid cash I told the lady I may not stay all 3 nights. After going to my room I just felt uncomfortable that guys were walking past my window and really who would want a hotel room like this. I called down to reception and said I would only stay one night and she said they have a 24 cancellation policy so she would charge me for 2 nights. I had been in the hotel 5 mins.
The room was clean enough as was the bathroom but sigh no air con then the windows had to be open and you could hear the workers chat. Surely these rooms should not be sold during such times.
It was really warm at night but without as much as a fan obviously the windows had to stay open but the best morning there was dozens of little flies in the room. I open the curtains and yes the scaffolding lads were there again all having a good laugh.
After one night I decided to lose my money and check out and no one even batted an eyelid. Does no one in the hotel actually care?
Room service menu was laughable how expensive it was and the bar was poorly stocked. Reception had no change and let's save the best till last - breakfast was £6.99 if you order the night before but if you ordered it in the morning it was £9.99 as chef would have to cook it lol less
