3 nights stay…
Great value for the money we paid. We got a great deal on two single rooms with breakfast included – due to the time of year (February/March).
The Best Western Carlton Hotel is located on Blackpool’s Queens Promenade close to North Pier; within walking distance are the town centre and major attractions. The hotel has ample parking including designated disabled bays close to the entrance of the hotel. The outside of the building could do with some TLC; but once inside we found the hotel to be bright, colourful and clean.
The décor was pleasant and the rooms have been finished to a high standard. The choice of colours made the space feel warm and cosy. There were a few minor scrapes and marks to the walls and in one room a brown stain on the ceiling where there had been a leak, but nothing of major significance. The bed was comfortable and the bedding spotless, there was ample towels and a few complementary toiletries. Any problems were quickly sorted out.
Piping hot water was available throughout our stay – a hot shower was just what was needed after a long day.
Morning newspapers, wake up calls and room service were available. There was a varied bar and room service menu; be aware that there is a charge for room service on top of the price of the food and drink. Complementary tea and coffee was provided.
The buffet style breakfast was of a good quality and provided between 7.30am and 9.30am, if you want a table with a sea view get to breakfast early. Blackpool’s North Pier can be seen from the dining room.
Both English and continental breakfasts were available. Staff made sure there was ample hot food, fruit juices, cereals, bread; regularly topping up food stuffs. The breakfast was enjoyable; the only disappointment was the cleanliness of some of the tablecloths as they were used for more than one sitting.
During our time at the Best Western Carlton Hotel Blackpool the staff were friendly, helpful and polite.
We would stay at this hotel again. less
