I was put in a room where the lock on the door did not open with the key I as given. After the desk clerk and the maintenance man both tried my key and four others, the maintenance man went and got a master key and let me in that way. After that I was unable to leave the room to unload my belongings from the car, or go and get dinner, because if I closed the door I could not get back in the room. While I was working with the hotel staff to try to open the door, another person that had just checked in came and told them her key didn't work either!! What good is a room to a traveler if the key won't open the door and you have to be locked in for the night because if you leave you will be locked out all over again? And it wasn't just me! less

I am very sorry to see that your door lock gave you trouble during your stay. We are in the process of upgrading the entire hotel. We have started the initial stages. We will be upgrading the lock system to the entire hotel. I would love to have a conversation with you. I want to make sure my team learns from this situation. It would be nice to personally welcome you back to the hotel if you will consider it in the future.
