I booked through a third party and prepaid well in advance of my stay. I was charged again during my stay by the hotel. When I questioned the receipt at checkout, I was assured I was not being charged again and was not given a receipt because "you will receive one through the third party you booked and paid through." Thankfully, after traveling I check my bank account and I realized I was charged again. I called the hotel and, while the first person to answer the phone was very pleasant and seemed like she wanted to help, the man that got on the phone after her was short, rude, and unwilling to help me. At one point he questioned if I even stayed there because he couldn't find my information in the system even though it was 3 days ago and I could provide my room number and all personal/billing information. The third party booking site was much nicer and easier to deal with when I contacted them and they offered to refund my prepayment since the hotel refused to assist me. I won't be staying at this Best Western again based on the experience and their unwillingness to assist customers. less
