Beamish Hall Hotel.

At the 4-star Beamish Hall Hotel BW Premier Collection by Best Western, you'll find delightful accommodation, close to Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham. However, this classic country house hotel is a desirable destination in itself, set in a vast 24 acres of manicured gardens in the beautiful English countryside. The hotel boasts an 18th century stable block on site, that's home to a pub, restaurant and microbrewery. The brewery produces 8 premium quality ales and even offers tours explaining how these delicious ales go from keg to mouth.

An Edwardian tearoom can also be found in the hotel, serving quintessentially British afternoon teas. For a little adventure in the countryside, the Beamish Wild Outdoor Adventure Park and High Ropes Course just so happens to be located in the hotel grounds, so why not test your nerve of the zip wires and Powerfan freefall.

This 13th Century Country House hotel in Beamish has been lovingly restored to include all the modern comforts you could need. However, you can be rest assured its not lost any of its traditional grandeur or heritage. There are stunning period features, including ornate ceilings, carved oak fireplaces, chandeliers, stained glass windows and a sweeping staircase. These elegant structures are found in all of the reception rooms, and simply must be taken advantage of for elegant wedding affairs. The dedicated team of wedding staff will do everything they can to ensure you day is just as perfect as the venue.

At the Best Western, you'll be just a 25-minute drive from Newcastle, a huge centre for business, with a wealth of attractions and a bustling nightlife. Durham is also 25 minutes away so why not head to Romanesque Durham Cathedral and 13th-century Durham castle, waiting to be explored in this romantic city?

Dear ObserverCork, Thank you for the glowing review and thank you for taking the time to post it. I am really pleased that you have been taken in by the charms of this beautiful building and the way that the owner has developed and is, developing the site. It is also brilliant to see a member of staff mentioned in a review, Paul is a huge asset to Beamish Hall and there is no coincidence that he has won employee of the month several times. I am pleased to inform you that your comments will automatically nominate Paul into our December employee of the month, so I thank you for that. I certainly hope that we will see you again in the near future, please do not hesitate to contact us direct with any reservation requirements. Kind Regards

Dear mpayne0, Thank you for the superb review and for taking the time to post it. It is really pleasing to read that you enjoyed the event, this is the first year we have been able to use our own grounds/garden centre staff to run the event which has proved very successful based on the feedback we are receiving. I would totally agree, if anyone has the time to take a leisurely walk after, we are very lucky to have some lovely grounds - even after three months of rainfall! A tribute to the team that entertained you during the wreath making event. I do hope that we will see you again in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us direct regarding any booking requirements. Kind Regards

Dear Johnhardiman13, Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I will ensure that all the negative points that you have raised are investigated and the relevant departments are informed to action as necessary. I apologise for not meeting your expectations on this occasion. The point that I totally disagree with is "the lack of any desire to fix this speaks volumes about the attitude here". I can assure you that the teams here are working very hard to maintain this beautiful building and you will notice from other reviews that so much has been done. I agree, there is still more to be done and we will not stop trying to make our guest experience the best that we can. I am pleased that you enjoyed the wedding and that the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope that you return in the future and see that we do have desire to fix our problems. Kind Regards
