Stayed here for 3 nights for a family wedding, with the wedding being on the middle day. There were 2 adults and a child in our party. We ate in the restaurant on the 1st night which was overall disappointing, all the meat was overcooked on everyone's main course (there were 5 of us in total). Also the breakfast chef can;t poach an egg, on 2 mornings I ordered poached eggs which came out hard poached. In our room, despite there being 3 of us, they persistently only left towels for 2 people, and we had to keep asking for extra one. There was a smart TV in the room which was not connected to wifi, so you couldn't use the smart features. The guest wifi was extremely slow, unusable at times, and blocked whatsapp altogether for some reason. There were 3 drinking glasses in our room when we arrived, one of which was all chipped around the rim. This could have cut someone had we not noticed it. For the profile and cost of this hotel, all these little things were extremely disappointing, as it really felt like they didn't care or think at all about their guests. We noticed one of the window panes in our room was cracked and reported it straight away. They already knew about it, and said it was like that a while. Again, the lack of any desire to fix this speaks volumes about the attitude here. Having said that, there were many good points, the wedding was excellent as was the food for that. The staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful and the room and beds were very comfortable. less

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I will ensure that all the negative points that you have raised are investigated and the relevant departments are informed to action as necessary. I apologise for not meeting your expectations on this occasion. The point that I totally disagree with is "the lack of any desire to fix this speaks volumes about the attitude here". I can assure you that the teams here are working very hard to maintain this beautiful building and you will notice from other reviews that so much has been done. I agree, there is still more to be done and we will not stop trying to make our guest experience the best that we can. I am pleased that you enjoyed the wedding and that the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope that you return in the future and see that we do have desire to fix our problems.
