Craigmillar Park

Located less than 2 miles from the hotel, Craigmillar remains close to the centre of Edinburgh yet within the Green belt; retaining fantastic views down the coast of East Lothian and across to Fife. The course is largely rolling parkland, dotted with trees to increase difficulty for the wayward golfer, and leave them with some great scenery to appreciate. Craigmillar also plays host to the first Scottish Amateur 72-hole event. Scotland's leading amateurs and many players from south of the border descend on the course in April each year.

Kingsknowe

Situated to the west of Edinburgh, Kingsknowe is within easy reach of all Scotland via the Edinburgh city bypass. Originally designed by Alec Herd, the 1902 Open champion, the course was later redesigned by James Braid. The parkland golf course is laid out over and through the valleys of gently rolling hills on which Oliver Cromwell's army gathered to bombard Redhall Castle in 1650. The hills now define the picturesque cherry tree-lined fairways from which the mindful golfer must propel his ball to the well-guarded and relatively small greens.
