So, this sure isn't the Ritz Carlton! Or even an average Holiday Inn. The rooms are dull, the carpet yuck and if you're a little on the large size, you may need grease and a crowbar to extract yourself from the bathroom!
The room temp control is outdated so you can choose to either blow hot air into the room, leaving you gasping for water and sweating up a storm OR you can blow in cool/cold, whereby you'll wake up shivering and wishing you'd brought your thermals! You might think the sensible thing would be to blow no air at all....well, tried that too. The result? The comfortable temperature we had quickly dropped to something slightly above freezing! And... just to further aggravate the situation, the air blower is not exactly quiet. I found this slightly amusing given we re next to the airport and they've gone to lengths to reduce noise from the planes outside! But the temperature control doesn't sound much different to the noise of an A330.
However, the girls who checked us in were lovely. They were helpful, smiling and efficient which given the busy time of year, doesn't always happen.
Breakfast buffet is adequate for a quick stay. The location and shuttle service are great, particularly if you have an early flight.
So, if you can get past the 70s decor and limited bathroom and you enjoy waking up in Arctic air and then 2hrs later in the Saharan air, this is an ok place to stay. less
