We were attending a show at the Dundee Rep and only had limited time so wanted a hotel close by. Queens Hotel was ideal as we were able to park right behind it for free (remember to register your car at reception as soon as you arrive) and then we only had a 4 minute walk to the theatre.
We were in Room 308 - a twin room on the 3rd floor overlooking the front street. It was a reasonable size with everything we needed for an overnight stay. The shower room had a great double sized cabinet.
I’m not sure if the heating was off in the hotel or not, but we were unable to turn it on in our room (the valve was spinning) so our room was pretty cold when we returned after the show. We forgot to mention this at checkout but would have if we had been staying longer.
We are in the Q-Bar restaurant. Service was friendly although the food took a while to arrive despite there only being 2 tables occupied.
We had to leave before breakfast service started the next morning so can’t comment on that.
The hotel is ideally located for walking to the train station, shopping centre and theatre. less

Thank you for your recent review of your stay at the Queens Hotel. I am pleased to read you found the hotel a good location for your needs. The heating is on a timer at the hotel so it should have came on whilst you were out. I will get housekeeping to check the radiator in the room so thank you for bringing this to my attention. I do hope this will not deter you from returning to the hotel and look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Dundee.
