We stayed in this hotel for a midweek break to Stoke.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly and made us feel welcome. When booking the hotel online, I read that parking was £5 a night. However, at check-in, I was pleasantly surprised when I advised to simply register our car on a electronic device to get free parking.
Restaurant staff were equally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a decent spread of fruit, juice, tea, coffee plus hot and cold breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed it !
Our family room was stylish clean and very spacious.
During our two night stay, my son and I used the spa and the swimming pool once and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We noticed people using the sauna but we did not have the time to use it. The hotel also has a gym which I have to say is one of the best-equipped gyms I have seen in a hotel in all my world travels.
Breakfast, which was buffet-style, had a decent spread and was very tasty.
Location was superb, not far from the city centre and the motorway (s).
Our only snag ( preventing a 5-star review) was the air conditioning system in our family room which did not work. A member of staff came up to look at the system and politely apologised to us. She said she would have offered us a fan, but all the fans were out with other guests. She eventually suggested that we kept the window open overnight, though she stressed the normal hotel policy is for windows to be shut at night.
All in all, if we ever returned to Stoke, we will definitely return to this hotel. less
