I was in town on business and this was the hotel they sent me to. Granted, I have certainly been to worse, but this place is was overpriced for what you are getting. The rooms are hotter than molasses even with the air on. I was waking up sweating every night. The gym is falling apart, equipment is broken and sweet baby Jesus it is sweltering in there. I was especially frustrated and uncomfortable to come back from work to find they still entered my room despite the Do Not Disturb sign. This made me uncomfortable for the majority of my stay.
If I were you, I would find somewhere else to stay. With the price they are charging, there is no excuse for this. At the very least, if you do stay here, least avoid the Roundabout Diner next door. Every visit was worse than the last. less

We appreciate your organization having you stay with us for your time in Portsmouth. I apologize you found the air temperature not to be satisfactory in your room. Your room was equipped with an air conditioning unit that allows you to set the temperature to the exact temperature you would like it to be such as 71 degrees. We feel badly you were not able to find a temperature where you felt comfortable. In regards to a Do Not Disturb sign, we understand guests may not be used to the new concept of this room is occupied. Please google hotel news in Las Vegas and Chicago in terms of hotel associates not entering rooms. Hotels and Hotel Guests have had to adapt to the concept that you room is completely different than having a landlord and a rental apartment. We wish you the best with your new job and hope they were able to provide you with good training. Safe travels.
