We stayed here on a B&B and Dinner deal - 2 nights - booked for November but postponed due to Lockdown 2.0. Cold, foggy and miserable weather but just cannot fault the Orton Hall. Most staff considerably younger than us old codgers but charming helpful and friendly from the start. Reception guided us through the ins and outs of Covid, printed out maps and delivered two extra loo rolls and teabags on a silver platter! That’s a first - ( no room service during Covid) Spa - superb hot stones from Jamie and ? ( really sorry - husband forgotten name!) but excellent. Dining - cannot be faulted - Rachael was our waitress - and we were the only ones in the dining room - but was lovely and we just have to say an enormous thank you to Adam and Adam who produced two beautiful and imaginative dinners. Venison, duck, baked celeriac, ham hock rillettes, garlic mash, creme brûlée, dill yogurt, apple gel, apple and granola crumble, cavolo nero, ( all the right ingredients bit not necessarily in the right order) but beautifully served. We will return hopefully as long as we survive Covid. less
