Filthy, horrible experience

I had reserved a room and upon check in I was told the rest of the hotel was full. Check in went smoothly, desk clerk was very nice. While walking down the hallway to my room I noticed a strong foul smelling, musty odor. The smell was weak in my room, but the room was very run down and filthy. There numerous stains and cigarette burns in the carpeting, even though this was supposed to be a smoke free hotel. There was mold/mildew on the torn shower curtain. The curtains/valances were stained with who knows what, and there were cobwebs hanging from them. The refrigerator had been turned off and was warm, the freezer section had standing water in it from defrosting. It was useless from my standpoint so I kept my perishable items in my cooler instead of the refrigerator. When I turned on the TV I had video but no audio. After I tried troubleshooting it I contacted the front desk and they came down to assist me with the volume. They were not able to fix the problem and since there were no other rooms available I did not have the option of moving. Throughout the night there was an intermittent high pitched noise that seemed to be coming from the air conditioning equipment by the window. This kept me awake for most of the night.
In the morning I found bugs in the room and even captured one and brought it to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. I relayed all of the issues with the desk clerk and she even went to my room with me and verified all of my concerns. The desk clerk told me the manager was running late and would be there by 8:30. I waited in the lobby for the manager until the desk clerk told me the manager had just spoken with her and told her he was running even later and would not be there until 9:00. I asked the desk clerk to have the manager contact me by phone as soon as he arrived, left the bug with her to give to the manager, and I then checked out of the hotel.
I waited until 9:30 then I called the hotel and requested to speak with the manager. The desk clerk verified she had given him the message to contact me, the bug I left for him, and informed him of all the problems I had encountered. When I spoke with the manager he didn't seem to care about my problems. He told me he would make an adjustment to my bill, but would not tell me how much. I requested full refund for the amount paid and he refused. His adjustment ended up to be only a 25% refund. less
