Just a 3 night break and blessed with great weather we enjoyed taking advantage of the 2 for 1 drinks before 5 on the first night and the £20 per head 3 course dinner in the restaurant that evening, although there were supplements for some dishes.
The food was very good, the best we have ever experienced at one of these chains, must have been the Italian touch! Breakfast was also to a high standard, nothing fancy but all hot and not baked dry. Plenty of cold options too. The only disappointment was a lack of prunes on our final morning even though there was more than half an hour to go before the restaurant closed, and the label was displayed with an empty space. I did enquire but was told they didn't have any. The coffee was good but because it was brought around by a member of staff it was sometimes difficult to catch their eye to get a second cup. The room was comfortable though a bit small, and as other people have mentioned the shower was very slow. Everything was very clean though. On Sunday night there was another offer in the restaurant for 2 meals from the grill menu and a bottle of wine for £48 so we took advantage of that. My pork loin was beautiful, but my husband's sirloin steak for which we had paid a supplement was tough. He never complains so that is really his fault that it wasn't replaced, however we had expected better and this was definitely not up to their normal standard. I used the swimming pool which is in a separate block and as it was a Sunday evening had it all to myself. Overall an excellent stay as it is close to the seafront and we found it any easy walk into the town by going down to the pier along the front and then walking through the famous gardens into the town square. less
