This "hotel" is really an refurbished motel, with entrance to all rooms outside, which means you hear vehicles pulling in and out at all hours. Poorly lit parking lot, and if you are in the back, as we were, long walk to lobby, where the tiny breakfast room is located. The parking lot is poorly lit, and on our final morning there, one of the sidewalks was strewn with garbage that nobody had bothered to pick up. The breakfast room is far too small for the number of guests; it's very busy, doubtless because of the price. You have to wait for a chair to open up at a shared table (people are good about sharing their table and not lingering, in recognition of the space problem. But there's more: we stayed there THREE DAYS and NEVER got housekeeping service, even though we reported it. Once we were told we could come to the front desk to pick up clean towels; next, that we would need to report this the next day to the day manager, who came in "around 10 or 11." Other issues included: room was not ready at announced check-in time (told it would be a few more hours), TV remote did not work (we did not report it, out of sheer frustration), so just watched NBC. I travel a lot, all over the world, and have always been impressed with the consistency of Best Westerns--until now. Just awful. less
