First word of caution: if they haven't finished redoing the lobby, forget about it. When we entered, the place looked like a disaster area, with a bunch of unprofessional construction workers running around with no regard for the guests. I say unprofessional because there was a stunning lack of safety precautions with guests having to walk under workers using power tools and cross over tripping hazards. (OSHA would have a field day inspecting that work!) ((I know, from having to do safety where I work.))The hammering and pounding rose to the third floor where my companion was trying to rest. When my companion expressed concern about the guests having to endure such chaos, the front desk staff said that it would make things better for them, so they were fine with it. No believable concern and no adjustment of rates (used my third party booking as an excuse). The workers continued their noisemaking until at least 7:00 p.m. My cynical conclusion was that management was willing to alienate weekend, leisure guests, but not the weekday business types, more likely to return.
We found the room to be quite nice, except for its inability to protect us from the noise downstairs. The management should have concern for the elevator which rides like an old truck.
The breakfast situation was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits were cold. (The Health Department could have also had a field day.) We had to ask for orange juice. Indifferent service from staff, who obviously would have been more comfortable speaking Spanish.
Would not recommend this property. less
