Stay at the Drury Inn Instead.
The Drury Inn is up on a hill with a great view of the valley! Your stay will be more pleasant than the Best Western Coachlight. If you are traveling with a pet, like we were, you may be stuck with the BW. The only advantage is that it’s a motel, rather than hotel, so their are no interior halls (which meant that the dog didn’t bark in the night). If you stay in a pet room, be careful, because our room STUNK of dog urine. We’ve stayed exclusively in Best Westerns on a road trip from Los Angeles to Detroit, and no other pet room stunk. When we told them at the desk, the first, unhelpful response was “Well it’s a pet room.” Umm, no, the BW in Williams, AZ, in Amarillo, TX, and in Allen Park, MI did not stink. They eventually moved us to another room. It did not stink & was fine. The place was marginal, however, so we didn’t even grab breakfast—it was COVID, in Missouri, while MO had the highest rates of infections & death rates in the country—happy just to get out of there quickly. less
