I started this review at 5 stars. The renovations are very nice, the rooms are great and you can tell that a lot of work and care was put into remodeling the hotel. But, it soon fell apart.
We stayed 5 nights. Throughout our entire stay, despite 2 requests, we did not get room service. Each day we arrived back in our room, the towels were dirty and sheets unchanged and bed unmade. After the 4th day, I dropped a pile of dirty towels and 3 bags of trash on the reception counter. We were apologized to, but, that was it.
My dad who wakes up early, sat in the lobby and enjoyed coffee while waiting for me. During that time, he was confronted by the staff and was accused of being homeless, not a guest, and when he explained to her that he was a guest and told her his room number, she called him a liar and threatened to call the police. When she learned of her mistake, she made no attempt to apologize. We were ready to leave the hotel at that moment, but, we only had one more night.
Nitpicking, the rooms are too dark. The lighting does not spread. You need to open the window to see, but, doing so exposed you to passers by.
There are not enough power options for charging. When will hotels learn that usb chargers are a priority over a phone and alarm clock?
The fridge didn't get cold. All of our ice cream melted.
On the surface, the place looks great, but, when you dig in. The niceness is only on the surface. less
