Flemingate Shopping Centre in Beverley has an impressive host of stores which include Esabulo, Subway, Wilkos, H&M, Superdrug and, Dunelm. The shopping centre has a 500-space storey car park.

Beverley Market

Beverley’s market is a thriving event that runs on a Wednesday and Saturday which has been going on in the area since the 12th Century.

It is a very traditional market which does not only sell food but also clothing, pet food and household accessories, there is even a stall which will fix your phone screen and fix your watch battery, so as you can imagine the market offers a wide variety of stalls.

The Westwood

The Westwood is one of Beverley’s real treasures; it is a large open area which has a few small forests, fields, windmill, golf course and a race course.

If you’re visiting Beverley and bringing a dog along then this is the perfect place to let it burn off some steam, on a sunny day; there isn’t much better than a nice stroll in the sunshine while having the stunning views of Beverley in the distance.

Beverley Racecourse

The Racecourse is just outside of Beverley, situated next to The Westwood; the history of racing at this course goes all the way back to over 300 years ago when it is thought to of had the first ever race.

Beverley Arms is based off North Bar Within, which is minutes away from the very popular Beverley Race Course.

Opened to members of the public over 300 years ago, first opening its doors in 1794.

The historic building recently had a £6.5 million revamp; it now has 38 bedrooms, 60+ seat restaurant along with a very stylish outdoor courtyard.

Eating here is a pleasant experience, the menu has a variety from classic pub food to lovely home-cooked meals; they also offer afternoon tea which is very popular especially on Mothers Day.

Cerutti "2" is well known for its delicious fish dishes, along with its fancy wine menu, which are available for dining in or takeaway.

If you’re traveling to Beverley by train then you will not be able to miss this restaurant; it is based in the old waiting rooms in the station.

The business was launched in 1974 in Hull on Nelson Street and has ever since been a success. In 2019 they decided to shut the Hull restaurant so they would have more time to focus on developing in Beverley along with the outside catering of the business.

Chamas aim to provide a unique authentic Brazilian Rodizio experience; the restaurant is based in the centre of Beverley, just 5 minutes away from the train station.

The meats that are on offer include lamb, beef, pork, chicken, and up to 15 more delicious prime cut meats.

When visiting Chamas you will notice that all of the food is consistently brought round by chefs and offered to diners.

You are given a double sided circular shaped disc on your table to control the flow of food offered to your table. If you turn the disc over to the green side, this will tell the chefs that you are ready for more meat, while the red will stop them from bringing any further food until it is on green.

There is also a vegetarian and vegan menu.

The White Company Store In Beverley is based on Toll Gravel in Beverley’s Town Centre which opened.

Established in 1994 with the money from a small government grant and some inheritance by Chrissie Rucker, started as a mail-ordering company which sold items via a paper catalogue and has since grown to have 59 stores in the UK, 1 in Ireland and 2 in the United States.

Well known for selling a modern range of furniture, accessories, clothing and home essentials, a lot of what they sell is usually in the colour white.

Browns Of Beverley is based in the former Picture Playhouse in Beverley, in 2002; the Playhouse could not keep up with competitors in the area and closed at this point is where it was converted to the Browns Store.

Inside the store you will find a large variety of luxury brands such as Estee Lauder, L’Occitane, Clinique, and Harrison Spink’s.

On the ground floor you will find it is made up of brands that sell Handbags, Shoes, Purses and other Accessories.

Upstairs you will find a large collection of modern and stylish men’s and women’s clothing, along with Browns Café & Restaurant which is perfect for some a little break while you’re shopping.

Brook Taverner opened its first Yorkshire Store in Beverley in 2019 and is based on the main high street next door to WHSmith.

All your menswear requirements from Full Suits, Tailored Shirts, Trousers, Ties and shoes can be bought at the store, if you’re looking for casual wear, they also have a range of polos and casual jackets.

Beverley Minster is based in the heart of the town centre and is one of the largest Parish Churches in the UK. The lovely minster hosts regular events including music, arts, and cultural.

The Minster was built in 1190, and is still standing now, you’re able to book Guided Tours and Roof Tours to get a closer insight in the Minster.

Guided Tours are done on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Roof Tours are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Beverley’s golf club was formed in 1889 and is based on The Westwood just outside of the town centre.

The 18-hole course is one of the best in Yorkshire; the benefits of playing this course is that you are surrounded by the beautiful views of Beverley and the countryside.

Bridlington has stunning beaches, great shops and some lovely pubs.

The seafront at Bridlington provides stunning sea views along with a decent amount of places to eat in or out, you can’t beat fish and chips on Bridlington harbour.

The Old Town in Bridlington has a large variety of independent shops and traditional pubs, you might even notice it if you have watched Dads Army, they used the area to film.
