Hotels near the Glimmer - Hull International Short Film Festival

The annual Glimmer festival, previously known simply as Hull International Short Film Festival, visits screens across Hull. The main festival features a mix of experimental and traditional short films and filmmakers from around the world take part in the competition.

Featuring a varied selection of dramas and documentaries, the festival prides itself on the diversity of films it shows and the highlight of this year's proceedings is again set to be the presentation of the Anthony Minghella Award for Best International and UK Short. Named in honour of the late director of The English Patient, the accolade is awarded to the festival's stand-out film.

In addition to a packed screening programme, there is usually a two-day Festival Market, pulling together key decision-makers who present and discuss industry approaches to short film.
