Get away from it all in the rolling Sussex countryside. Tucked on the edge of the Ashdown forest, the Rivendell Retreat Centre has been quietening minds and chilling people out for over 15 years.

The Croydon Buddhist Centre (which is a member of the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order) looks after the many activities and retreats at Rivendell. This peaceful centre offers a variety of retreats and courses to choose from - many for those who are completely new to meditation and Buddhism, while others are targeted at those who have committed their lives to Buddhist practice. There is, however, no need to be a Buddhist to benefit from the beginner courses - or indeed to hold any religious beliefs at all.

Activities include meditation retreats (usually over weekends) and some that explore Buddhist themes through the arts, yoga, dance and even woodland conservation work. Please contact the centre for a chat and to make bookings.
