Biddenden Vineyards & Cider Works
Deep in the heart of the Garden of England, Biddenden Vineyards & Cider Works produces several varieties of wine, cider and apple juice. Walk through the vineyards, learn how they press the apples and of course, sample the local tipple.
Biddenden is Kent's oldest commercial vineyard. Established by the Barnes family in 1969, it has grown from one to 22 acres, with nine varieties of grape producing white, red, rosé and sparkling wines. If you time your visit to coincide with the late-September harvest you can even see the presses in action.
Biddenden Strong Kentish Cider is also produced here, with dry, medium and sweet varieties on offer to try or load up the car with, plus a vintage and Monk's Delight for mulling on those cold winter nights. Visit the shop for wine, cider, jam, souvenirs and other local produce.
