BWH HOTELS GB STRENGTHENS SENIOR TEAM WITH NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

BWH Hotels GB is delighted to announce that Robert Alley, former Chief Operating Officer of Roomzzz and more recently international vice president for Synergy serviced accommodation, has joined the business in a new executive role as Brand Development Director.

Robert has over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality sector, in senior roles at Hilton, IHG, Hallmark, Roomzzz and Synergy and has a proven track record of commercial success across multiple different models in the industry. He will lead the Hotel Development team supported by Mark Stanley and Terii Dunne.

BWH Hotels GB unveiled Robert to the lineup of 200+ independent hotels during their recent Annual Members Conference. The conference theme, "Celebrating Change," involved live polling of hoteliers, revealing that 74% are optimistic about trading in 2024, with nearly half being more optimistic than the previous year. Hoteliers also shared investment plans, with over 10% anticipating spending over £1M on property improvements in the coming year.

Tim Rumney, Chief Executive of BWH Hotels GB, said: “Robert’s the perfect fit for our business at an exciting time in our development. His strong industry knowledge and commercial acumen make him the ideal candidate to lead our Brand Development team. His proven strategic and commercial approach will help take our already successful brand team to the next level and enable the BWH Hotels brand to access new parts of the industry, extending and deepening our value in the market. I, and the rest of my Leadership Team, look forward to welcoming him and working alongside him.”

Robert Alley said: “I’m delighted to be joining BWH Hotels GB and to be working with Tim and the team to lead the strategic development, expansion and adoption of the brand across multiple market segments. I look forward to meeting with the hotels already in brand and building strong relationships with them, while forging new partnerships and opportunities elsewhere in the industry. It’s an exciting role and I can’t wait to get started.”

Robert started in hospitality at Forte Hotels. He made a name for himself at Hilton before leading sales and marketing teams at InterContinental Hotel Group, GLH and Hallmark Hotels. More recently he moved to the serviced apartment sector as the Chief Operating Officer for Roomzzz Aparthotels, responsible for customer experience, commercial growth, operations and strategic development before joining Synergy.
