Good Situation
We stayed here as we were catching an early train the following morning. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel for the day which was very good. The room was very warm but we could not open the ... more
We stayed here as we were catching an early train the following morning. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel for the day which was very good. The room was very warm but we could not open the windows - at all. Restaurant service was slow considering it was quiet and we did not receive the bottle of wine we ordered but as it was getting lat, decided to leave it and stick to water…. Would stay again as very convenient for the town and train station. less

Quirky, cute hotel We booked to stay here the day after we got married to have a little down time We stayed in the Queen Elizabeth II room and it was clean and spacious. Bed was super comfy Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Staff friendly As with any hotel drinks are pricey so be aware of Costs in the hotel bar The decor was brilliant, we loved looking around the place. We’re planning to return on our anniversary next year as we loved it so much You’re right by the train station too Car parking is expensive but there is a cheaper car park a stone throw away Taxi’s cheap to get in to the centre of Chester This was my first time in Chester and it didn’t disappoint. Such a lovely place We can’t wait to return less

Beautiful room and public facing rooms . Staff efficient and friendly . All very clean . Only downside was our bedroom window was open and too high to reach and noise from street outside was quite loud . All amenities provided such as hairdryer iron . Close to city centre using underpass . Tip for anyone else staying with car - book car park online prior to visit we paid £12 for over 24 hours not bad less

Noisy dump
It’s a typical English hotel. The staff are their best asset. The rooms are hit and miss. The new extension is ok but the main hotel is dreadful - dated decor and the noise from the function going on ... more
