Stourport Manor Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We spent 3 nights at Stourport Manor at the beginning of October.  I have never been offered such a meagre breakfast; a DIY pot of instant porridge, a small croissant with a bit of butter and jam and an Alpen nutty bar left in a bag outside the room.  We would have had better if we were detained at Her Majesty's pleasure. The local pubs and restaurants were serving hot food without any fuss at all, I can't understand why the hotel can not.  Our previous weekend was spent in Gloucester where we had a lovely full english breakfast each day. In my opinion this Best Western is Best Avoided. less

First of all the negatives. The room doors are self-closers which can bang quite loudly when trying to sleep. Our room was single-glazed and had quite a bit of condensation now that the colder nights are here. We also found the room a little chilly when getting up. The radiator was on in the evening and the early night. By could it clatter. Now the positives. The location is superb, the staff so friendly and helpful, and the bed was so comfy. The covid arrangements were first class. Would definitely stay here again. Let's hope that the glazing/door closure issue is solved under the new company structure. less

this hotel is not ready yet its to soon ,not enough staff, no bar no hot food facility ,i believe they have a long way to go. so at the moment not worth the prices charged.hopefully they will get on with it but there did not seem to be anyone there to take charge. less

I booked a room with my Emirates miles because my wife and I have few air miles unlucky for us after 6 months In lock down I booked this hotel for a night out planning trips before and after. I arrived to see an amazing photo shoot going on for a wedding the family looked tip top even I felt under dressed. Moving on they had taken up rooms left and right of us I was in 46 which was a little dated with bath chipped carpets stained and looked nothing like the promo pictures from the website but that don’t bother us us much. Then after 5 hours of doors slamming and I mean constantly I went out side and told them to leave the doors open to save slamming the door every time from one room to the other (only because my mrs said sort it) and having a connecting room with a door it was worse they talked and played cards to 4am until the night porter shouted something then 6 more doors slammed and nothing. It’s 4am!!! Ok I sucked it up they was having a good time but on check out I got asked the question “did you enjoy your stay?” I remarked with my mask on “No I’m tired you facility’s was half closed with limited access (it’s a day resort)” I understood on about to walk out I changed my mind and talk to the amazing staff and tell them my point of view about our experience. They already know about it the night porter told them, I told them and after breakfast a women who was in the other room next to them said “you did not sleep either” she knew. Anyway I got “we are really sorry about that” as I walked out with our over night bag. This was my experience but all that aside I did look in the pool area and gym and looked very nice. My room was not the best a little out dated but I would go again but next time with out the hassle above. less

Booked as a last minute stay due to our last hotel closing. I think we may have been one of the only guests for the whole hotel. The receptionist was lovely, very informative and upgraded our room due to the hotel being empty. We also had the choice of free room service for breakfast for the whole “social distancing” which was a nice touch. Room was spacious and clean. Adequate tea and coffee facilities and a big tv. The king sized bed and pillows were one of the comfiest I’ve experienced. The room could do with a bit of a referb if I’m being picky. Wasn’t really “wowed” considering this is a hotel people can get married in. Location was ideal, just out of the centre of stourport. We had to pick items off the list for breakfast and leave them outside the door. I found some of the cooked items what we picked were missing but considering the circumstances with the virus we thought they may have been short - but still would have been nice for someone to tell us. Tasty breakfast nevertheless. We also got upgraded for a late checkout which was a bonus and much needed. less
