Quorn Country Hotel, BW Signature Collection

A fairly straightforward hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Very helpful staff. Comfortable bed and all mod cons. My only problem was that there was no mini bar or free water. My room had a storage heater, but I had to keep the window ajar (in winter) as the air was stuffy - woke up parched with a sore throat. Why not have a mini bar or at least provide a bottle of water? A short walk up the road to The Monk - great little pub with excellent food. less

Stayed here whilst working in Leicester It’s roughly 15 mins drive to the city centre The hotel is just off a main road in its own grounds It’s as plenty of free parking The reception area and bar ,library are all very nice A shame about the rooms which are poorly decorated and dated with noisy bathroom extractors The beds are also dated and not very comfortable The breakfast in the conservatory is very nice made fresh to order For the price they are charging the rooms are not worth the price tag You are basically paying for the building your staying in 6/10 less

The first room we were given was freezing cold as the heating was broken and the plug-in heater that had been put in the room instead just couldn't handle the job. We moved! Our second room was much nicer and warm as well. The bed was really comfortable and coupled with the peaceful room gave us a good night's sleep. The bar was manned by the very friendly staff whilst attending to other duties, so was, while they tried their best, somewhat hit-and-miss. The coffee machine was out-of-order and the expensive sandwiches were really disappointing. The "Hand-Cut Chips" however were superb. Although the staff tried their best, the place is not what it could be with a little attention to detail. less

Attended a wedding recently and was very pleased with the venue, the food and the staff. The hotel is almost stand alone with two conservatory-type rooms added on. One was used for the wedding service and accessible from the hotel internally. The other was used for the reception and accessed from outside - a little inconvenient if it rains, but it was sunny on this day. Access was given to decorate the rooms suitably in advance of the wedding day. The hotel reception rooms were large and easy for large numbers to mingle around the bar. Our bedroom was on the first floor with a very comfortable bed. The heavy, wooden firedoors were closed at night so there was NO sound permeating the hotel. Excellent for a good night's sleep! There was a slight glitch when our key refused to unlock the door but the staff were very helpful finding an alternative. The pre ordered food for the wedding could not be faulted and was served promptly by the staff. Presentation of the food was excellent. The buffet food and snacks for the evening session disappeared quickly by early guests. Breakfast had plenty of choice too. I can recommend all of it. Given the high volume of the entertainment in the evening, the separate room was extremely useful as it could not be heard in the hotel. There is ample parking at the rear of the hotel, but we found the narrow entrance a little difficult to find as it's in a residential area with only one tasteful sign to indicate its location. less

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel on business. I was really impressed with everyone and a special thank you to Leslie on the breakfast service and a lady called Heather who I was speaking to. Thank you and I will definitely be staying with you again in the future. less
