I have been traveling to Leyland since 2006 and have stayed at this hotel many times. I wrote my last review for this hotel in 2015 which wasn't bad but I have to update it because the quality has gone down. The best times of the hotel are a few years back.
Last week I was there the first time after the pandemic started and was disappointed of the actual situation in there. The rooms are okay, but not clean. There are loose parts in the bathrooms and mold in the corners. My room was not cleaned once during my 4 nights stay.
Before the pandemic there was a leisure club with swimming pool, Jacuzzy sauna, steam room and gym available, which is all closed now. But prices haven't gone down...
The quality of the breakfast has gone in the same direction as the rest of the hotel.
The carpark is controlled via “Parking-Eye” now, which is annoying, can get the guest into expensive trouble and underlines the primitive standard.
The service at the front desk was bad. Early check-out in the morning was not possible, nor the evening before, although I had asked for it. less
