This is the first time I have ever written a review for a hotel. To begin with, there was nobody else checking in, but the girl at the desk completely ignored us standing in front of her for a few minutes, then asked the name without a greeting or apology. We asked to switch the credit card we used to reserve to a different one for the charges. She took my ID and new credit card and typed for what seemed like minutes, but no idea where that info went since the charge ended up on the first card anyway. The room was NOT what anyone would call "premiere" or even updated as advertised. Bathroom door was rotting from the bottom up, all of the lamps were unplugged(took a bit to figure that one out in a dark room), remote for heat/cooling unit didn't work, sliding door to patio was so old and sticky I couldn't get it open more than foot. Fridge was warm and barely kept our beverages cooler than room temp(no controls). We walked back to registration building/desk to get pool towels as instructed on paperwork to be told they didn't have any a d would deliver some to our room within 10 minutes. After. 45 min we went to pool with the only 2 towels in our bathroom figuring they must be busy due to it being NYE. Came back to room an hour later, still no towels. We showered with hand towels. After waiting in lo g line the next morning to check out, we were late and couldn't waste any more time explaining all of this to some girl at front that can't do anything about it anyway. In the last 2 days of discussing with friends, turns out many people we know have had similar experiences there. I feel bad for my poor husband who surprised me with this romantic NYE night and for $200+ it was such a lame place. Glad we went to dinner somewhere else! less
