Having booked the hotel for Mother’s Day, and never having been before (a little risky, especially as it’s your mum, and we never want to disappoint), but my fears were soon put firmly from my mind. The parking was free and ample, entering and exiting very easy and accessible for all. The popularity of Hardwick’s Mothers Day was very evident, literally hundreds of families were being catered for the 4* elegance, staff polite and pleasant at all times. Live piano playing included in 3 different locations, to help with the friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Choice on the 3 course menu was fairly extensive, when it arrived, very well presented, no hint of it being reheated and dry. All looked and tasted fresh, courses arrived (in spite of the magnitude of patrons being served, very promptly. Once it was time for 5he dessert, it was a mammoth spread of dozens of options laid out for us to pick and choose as much or as little as we wished. Drinks not included (Tea & Coffee were) cost normal larger hotel prices.
All Mothers got a gift of a potted plant, well presented and equally fresh looking. I would both recommend the hotel and will be visiting again very soon. All in all a very enjoyable and rewarding visit. less
