Went for Christmas dinner we were seated in a conservatory building where the main doors were left open and the temperature was just above freezing. I told the staff that I had recently had a heart operation and the cold was unbearable.
I had to leave my family party and sit next to a luke warm radiator in the main building. I did not have my meal, instead I was offered a dink and had a cup of tea, so in essence I have paid £85 for a cup of tea? I spoke to the chef and manager on duty and explained that it was too cold. I was told I would get a full refund after Boxing day. Its now 9th January, still no refund. rang hotel loads of times and get fobbed off. I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE TO AVOID THIS PLACE, as there is no sense of CUSTOMER Care and NO Quality control in place. less

Hello sir, I have investigated the situation and would like to offer you feedback. You were seated in the orangery as there were no requests to be seated in a specific location. Had we have known different we would have happily accommodated you. You had stated you had a heart operation and were cold, as a venue we tried to make you as comfortable and as warm as possible, various options were provided to you but non taken up. The table next to yours had actually asked for the main door to be opened due to being warm which we declined as it was winter and had 60 other guests in the same room. Unfortunately we were fully booked and all parties had been organised into specific areas for service and most already seated. We continued to offer you all what you had pre ordered after half of your main course came back to which you declined and stated you could only drink water when offered tea and coffee? I have spoke to all staff members involved on Christmas Day and they have all stated that a refund was not mentioned or guaranteed from us but you however had requested one. You have, this week contacted the hotel by telephone and were asked to provide a complaint in writing via email and this was also requested to you on a response to a email sent to the hotel earlier in the week.
I can assure you we value all of our customers and pride ourselves on the service and care we provide to them. I am saddened to read your review!
