We booked this hotel for our anniversary, when we arrived before our scheduled check in time, they checked us in gave us a room number and took our case into a back room until we returned later. When we returned they couldn't find our check in information and had to go through it all again, they also struggled to find our case. The room was OK clean and tidy but very small, with a very small bed. The outlook from the small window was horrible just a framework of iron girders. On the plus side the shower was good. We had an afternoon tea as part of our package, we arrived for this and quickly received a good pot of tea, but this is where the pleasure ended. The crostini were ice cold and stale, one had a bizarre base coat of peanut butter. I think all sandwiches and cake were pre frozen, the only nice part was a warm scone with clotted cream and jam. Everything else was too cold and stale. We had some strawberries coated in chocolate most of which were mushy and old. The breakfast was a big disappointment, buffet style with no fried eggs, disgusting scrambled egg, cheap bacon and cold beans and tomatoes. The bar area was nice but the staff didn't really know how to make the cocktails. Wouldn't stay again. less
